Alignment with other efforts
To avoid duplication of efforts and potential leveraging of different organizations' solutions, we are actively reaching out and discussing this COVESA activity with the following. Do please make Thomas and Ted aware of other initiatives that we might want to coordinate with.
- Ford EV Range Prediction - an additional data sampling campaign to be able to collect consistent data across OEM for range prediction calculations based on in-vehicle observations and external factors.
- ITXPT IT for Public Transportation - J1939 based standards for public transportation buses in Western Europe
- VDV standards for public transportation buses in Germany - J1939 based and coordinates with ITXPT and FMS
- FMS HD OEM led standards in EU for fleet telematics
- MDS initiative that is related to Catena-X for telematics cloud exchanges
Expert Group Kickoff/Workshop planning
