CVII Asia-friendly time

Moderator: Philippe Robin and Gunnar Andersson

Abstract:

W3C and GENIVI has invited the automotive industry, including multiple consortia and standards bodies, under the umbrella of a Common Vehicle Interface Initiative to progress our shared goal of finally putting the common vehicle data standard in place, and more recently to extend that with an equal approach for services and vehicle functions.

Earlier in the week we had a comprehensive panel and workshop.

For this session we first introduce the topic again at a time slot that is tailored to Asian time zones, and add a new and detailed about how to align some existing initiatives on data model and catalog standards.

Agenda:

  1. Introduction to project (longer than Tuesday)
  2. Data model & catalog alignment across industry initiatives (SENSORiS, JASPAR, etc.),

Special invites participants:

  • Benjamin (SENSORIS, JASPAR "gap analysis", VSSo, ...)
  • Toyota (Japan and Europe)
  • Hyundai
  • All Asian company representatives -- please join!
  • SENSORIS (Jean Charles)
  • Daniel Wilms (VSS)

Potential topics (brainstorm)

Scoping discussion

Introducing the results of scoping so far with the main driving OEMs and other stakeholders.

Alignment discussion
